Our Procion dyes are specifically formulated with ice dying in mind, resulting in beautiful and unique color combinations. These permanent dyes produce vibrant and long-lasting hues that will not fade over time, ensuring your creations remain as stunning as the day they were made. In other words, we created these color combinations with splitting in mind and getting a variety of colors out of one dye.
Pop-up Dyes resemble mystery dyes, but their recipes are documented and can be replicated. I truly enjoy my work, and at times, I come up with numerous dye recipes that inspire me to create a variety of options. This listing allows me to share these creations without feeling swamped by the regular dyes available on our website. Additionally, these are blends I've crafted to gauge public interest and popularity, which could lead to their inclusion on the main site. Some of these mixes may also be available for a limited time only. When purchasing, Please note that some of these mixes may only be available for a limited time, so keep in mind that they are often temporary and sporadic.

Pop-up dyes also share similarities with Mystery Dyes, as they might only be represented on paper towel tests and may not always be available on fabric for photography. We only offer Pop-up dyes in our 2 oz jars. They are typically available for a limited time or in restricted quantities. Their discounted prices reflect this exclusivity, and if they gain popularity and are added to the website as a regular offering, the prices are subject to change.
We only offer Jars to hold our dyes in for shipment.
**** Different monitors and screens will make the color appear slightly different from one to another.
Even though we make the best effort to measure and use recipes for our dyes to get our color combinations, use on different fabrics or methods in which you are dying can affect the color outcome. Here are some things that can make a difference when it comes to dying your garments:
1. Pre-wash your fabrics to remove anything that may affect the color process (Some companies will use starches or stain repellents).
2. The more natural fabrics like cotton, linens, hemp, and rayon can make a BIG difference in the color. Procion dyes only adhere to the natural fabrics in your garment! So, if you have a 50% cotton to 50% polyester garment, the colors will be less defined, more pastel, faded, or murky. I recommend at least a 60/40 blended fabrics or 100% natural fibers for the most accurate color palette to the dye you're using.
3. Use soda ash to help the dye molecules to react and adhere to the fabric. This is a must with dying for the best color outcome!
4. Rinse thoroughly in cold water until your garment runs almost clear, then turn up the water slowly until it gets hot to rinse out the rest of the dye. If you start using hot water right away, the soda ash will begin to react with your fibers again.
Timeline:
Our pre-mixed Mystery Dyes are prepared for immediate shipment. When bought individually, they will be sent out on standard business days. However, if purchased alongside our custom-made dyes, they will be dispatched within our usual processing period of 3 weeks, taking into account regular business days. It is possible that you may receive your dye earlier than the estimated three-week timeframe.

Returns:
We do not offer returns with any of our procion dye mixes; however, we do want our customers to be happy so please contact us if there's any issues.
